Power souces

  1. A computer has a battery or special chip that retains computer (CMOS) settings and runs the computer clock even after the computer itself is turned off.
  2. An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is the most effective way to protect your computer hardware and documents from power fluctuations. It also lets you continue to work during brief power failures
  3. The power supply governs the stability, cooling, energy efficiency, and expandability of your computer, and will affect the reliability of your components.
  4. Surge suppressors are essential for computer systems. They protect the computer against increases in voltage, although most won’t protect against drops in voltage. For that, you need an uninterrupted power supply.
