  1. Perennial.
  2. Fast growing extending through a network of runners.
  3. Dont mix with other plants, lest mint takes over.
  4. Common mints like spearmint & peppermint, r considered good to grow among tomato & pepper plants, where they enhance flavor, repel aphids, attract parasitic wasps to eat caterpillars, provide “living mulch” ground cover, etc
  5. Oil used as flavorings in breath freshners, drinks, antiseptic mouth rinses, toothpaste etc.
  6. Mints characterstic smell is from menthol.
  7. For stomach ache, chest pains.
  8. Powder used to whiten teeth.
  9. Mint tea is strong diuretic.
  10. Aids digestion.
  11. Repels mosquitoes.
  12. Mint oil kills pests like wasps, ants, cockroaches.
