  • Diabetes is a condition that makes it hard for body to turn food into energy.
  • After we eat, a hormone called insulin is released by body that causes blood sugar to enter cells.
  • Main cause–Stress & lack of exercise. Anxiety created due to stress sends damaging hormones racing through system. Do exercise to control stress as well as diabetes.

12 Foods that fight against diabetes —-

1. Fiber(oats, legumes, vegs, dr’d & fresh fruit, whole grains, berries)
2. Antioxidants(fruts, vegs, nuts, veg o’s, w.germ, fish, seafood)
3. Plant sterols reduce cholestrol(nuts, seeds, corn, soybean o)
4. Low fat prot(legumes, nonveg, low fat milk)
5. Omega 3fatty acids(salmon, sardines, meckerel, herring, flaxseed, o)
6. Folic acid(dark green vegs, fruits, legumes, w.germ, whole grains)
7. Allicin reduces cholestrol, b.clot, b.p(on, gar, chives, shallots, leeks)

Natural remedies —

  • Eat bitter gourd as often as you can or drink or take 1T juice everyday. Bitter melon’s several compounds have confirmed anti-diabetic properties. Add powdered gourd seeds to food. Or boil gourd pieces in water & take decoction.
  • Jambul fruit known as jamun effects pancreas. Fruits/seeds/juices are all useful. Seeds contain a glucoside “jamboline’ which is believed to have the power to check the conversion of starch into sugar in cases of increased production of glucose. They shd be dried & powdered. Take powder mixed in milk, curd, or water.
  • Take 1Tamla juice+1c fresh bitter gourd juice daily for 2mths, so will secrete the pancreas & enable it to secrete insulin.
  • Early morning, on empty stomach take 10basil leaves+10neem leaves+10belpatras+1gl h20, works wonders.
