Homeopathy for chicken pox

It is highly contagious, caused from herpes virus. Starts with cold like symptoms, rash in 1st wk. 1st spots to appear r inside cheeks. They progress from red spots to itchy blisters with clear fluid to crusts. Rash starts on trunk & if severe, spreads to limbs & even face, scalp with swollen lymph nodes.

Caution: Scratching can cause bacterial infections.

Prevention: Variolinum 30c during seasonal epidemics every 3rd day or Rhus tox 30c once per day.

1. Rhus tox: It is the central remedy, use routinely in the absence of other clear indications but swelling around eruptions or puffiness generally.
2. Apis: If there is loose cough. Next Ant tart.
3. Puls: If profuse yellow mucus discharges, weepy/whiny mood.
4. Variolinum: Partially effective to eliminate itching. 30c once per day in all above cases. It is nosode of small pox. It shortens case, prevents scarring or after effects.
5. Calendula tincture: Well diluted, excellent antiseptic & soothing lotion.
