Animation software
- GIF is a Graphic Interchange Format that allows images to be reduced in size so that they can be stored & used in a variety of formats. GIF files r the easiest to make & r easy on servers. They’re moving drawings often used in comp presentations for business & school. They also r a great substitute to Flash movies if u do not want a Flash website or u don’t know Macromedia Flash.
- Avatars- cute little image representations of our personalities to create a personal icon for use on a forum.
- Xara3D is a user-friendly animation prog that allows users to take simple headings or pictures & turn them into animated 3-dimensional screensavers or Web icons.
- Carrara 3D is animation software with a functional interface that makes it easy for both professional & amateur animators to produce high-qlty 3D animation & images.
- CrazyTalk is a prog that allows users to import digital images from a variety of sources, animate them & make them talk. It also comes with an image library from which u can select images & convert them to verbal icons for websites.
- Adobe’s Macromedia Flash is the industry standard for incorporating animation and design into web browsers, allowing users to both view & embed media in many web pages. It’s a cross-platform appl.
- Toon Boom is animation software designed for both amateur users & professional animators. A tool called multiplane camera lets u zoom in on scenes from a variety of angles.
- Xara3D software is specifically designed to create 3D website animation such as buttons, logos and animated images. It also allows for users to create unique 3D screensavers by using a user-friendly, graphically rich interface.

- Podcasts- Interesting & entertaining way to send & receive info. It can be ur fav tv/radio show or s’thing u create on comp.
- BitTorrent- Popular s.ware platform that enables downloading large files such as DVDrips from net which can be viewed only on comp.
- iTunes- Music on ur comp whether downloaded from net or ripped from CD can be used in iTunes where they can be nicely organized for downloading into MP3player.
- Foobar2000- sophisticated audio player for windows which hosts & supports sev popular audio formats.
- CompactPro- Mac shareware appl that copresses mac files taking up 1/2as much disk space as the uncompressed files which u can extract(decompress) when u want.
- iStockphoto- Largest design community with no membership fee to stock photos, flash files etc.
- Adware or advertising-supported software is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertising material to a computer after the software is installed or while the application is being used.
- Limewire is a software appl called Peer to Peer or P2P which allows u to search millions of individual user comps over net to find files u can download to ur comp.

Copying corrupted DVD
- Download & install DVDencrypter which is free prog that extracts DVDs onto computer.
- Insert DVD u’d like to backup into comp.
- Start up DVD encrypter.
- Just click the large button in the bottom left of the top window to start copying the DVD to ur hard drive. (DVD Decrypter automatically creates a folder for the files to be copied to.)

Optional: Now u can go into the new folder & copy the info to a recordable DVD ROM so u don’t have to worry about ruining the original!

Converting CD to MP3file
- Insert CD into disk drive.
- Open iTunes, click import CD.
- Once import is complete in progress bar, click Music tab where u shd be able to see imported songs.
- U may create playlist named after the corresponding artist on the CD. Then drag playlist into MP3player such as iPod.
- Default iTunes format is -AAC. If u wish to convert to MP3 instead, change format clicking Advanced>importing

Inserting links to another website in a blogger post
- Select txt in ur blogger post where u’d like to create a link. A pop-up box will appear, requesting URL. Enter address.
- U may click Link button on editors toolbar or use Ctrl+Shift+a.
- If u dont see link button, type: TEXT. Replace the letters “URL” with the Web address u’re linking to & replace the word “Text” with the text u’d like visitors to see.
- Dont forget to add http://
- U can make link to open in new window by adding target=”_blank” to the link HTML code.
- If u click the link button before selecting any txt, there will be no way for anyone to access the link from the post.
- Always remember to save changes & publish the post.
